Chema Madoz / Ars Combinatoria

30 March - 27 May 2018

The works of the Spanish photographer Chema Madoz meets its visitors at CerModern from March 30 to May 27, 2018 with the exhibition "Ars Combinatoria".

From 1990s onwards, Madoz, who created objects by surrealization within daily life with his own unique style and transmitted them to a photo, is one of the most important people among the world photographers.

Chema Madoz was inspired by the Catalan philosopher, poet and mystic Ramon Llull, who lived in the thirteenth century, conceptualized the “Ars Combinatoria” and who also is considered as the inventor of the computer.

Madoz's works present a comprehensive panorama of the artist's different stages, developments and changes throughout his career and which are exhibited in international photo exhibitions such as in the Netherlands Photographic Museum, Russia Hermitaj Museum, Spain National Art Museum and Germany Photographic Museum.

The exhibition, curated by Oliva Maria Rubio, will be seen at CerModern Art Center, North Hangar Gallery from March 30 until May 27, 2018.
