On the Move

A UNIQUE TRAVELLING PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

“On the Move” Travelling Photography Exhibition is getting ready to meet people of Ankara between 17th and 26th June with the contributions of CerModern Arts Center.

Commissioned by the Mediterranean Consortium for Nature and Culture with its members, such as Yolda Initiative in Turkey, exhibition features the work of 6 prominent professional photographers from Morocco, Tunisia, Spain, Turkey, Lebanon and Greece. It has traveled from Tunis, to Paris, to Geneva, to Lebanon, to Madrid, to Pindos and Athens and now it is coming to Ankara. Its next stop after Ankara will be Hawaii.

Photographs at the exhibition portray the lives, loves and hardships of Mediterranean nomads and pastoralists, their strong connection with the landscape and with their animals. It provides a unique opportunity to witness their hundreds of miles of journeys with their herds in search of food and water, which – over 10’000 years – shaped the landscapes of the Mediterranean, its food and its culture.

The exhibition will travel to Hawaii after Ankara for the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) World Conservation Congress.
