” diyor.

National Geographic Dergisi'nin 1985 Haziran sayısında "Afghan Girl" (Afgan Kızı : Şarbat Gula) başlığıyla yayımladığı fotoğrafla tanınan Steve McCurry'nin birbirinden presijtli sayısız ödüle sahip ve uluslararası platformda yayımlanmış 13 adet de kitabı bulunuyor.

Steve McCurry:Photographer sergisi 14 Ağustos'a kadar devam edecek.

Steve McCurry meets art lovers in Ankara for the second time!

The exhibition by Steve McCurry, who is considered to be one of the best visual artists alive, opens at CerModern on May 28 within the framework of Ankara Culture Route.

The exhibition named Steve McCurry “Photographer” brings together 47 well known photographs that he shot in different parts of the world over the last 30 years. McCurry focuses on fleet moments of human experience beyond language and cultural boundaries. He offers us windows that open into other worlds with forms and colors, shapes and symmetries he presents with an intelligent eye.

“Most of my photographs are based on people”

Steve McCurry gets his strength from his great curiosity towards the world and everything that lives in it. Capturing stories that fully reflect what happened, McCurry says “Most of my photographs are based on people,”. “I am chasing after the moment when all the walls that a person has built around them collapse and the real self emerges, the experience that is etched on the face of a person. I'm trying to reflect what it's like to be in that person's place."

Indicating that his photographs describe unsettled human emotions, relationships and how we are connected to our environment, Steve McCurry says, “Our responsibility is to tell stories honestly and completely about the place in which we all are living and the situations we are facing.”

Steve McCurry, known for the photograph he published with the title "Afghan Girl" (Afghan Girl: Şarbat Gula) in June 1985 in National Geographic Magazine, has numerous prestigious awards and has 13 internationally published books.

The exhibition “Steve McCurry:Photographer” will be open until the 14th of August.
